Foundational Service: Royal Australian Regiment
The foundation of Paul Gardner Brook’s professional conduct was established during his full-time service in the Australian Army. Enlisting in Melbourne in 1992, his entry into the service was documented in a televised interview by Channel 10 News on his day of enlistment.
Following intensive recruit training at 1 RTB Kapooka (22 Platoon, 'C' Company), he attended the School of Infantry at Singleton. Upon graduation into the Royal Australian Regiment, he was posted to the 8/9th Battalion (8/9 RAR).
This period of disciplined service—which included international training exercises with the Royal Brunei Land Forces—instilled the core values of integrity and accountability that have anchored his 30-year career in global finance and strategic advisory.
